# Assembly SOP — CAMS-1 (factory / shop) ## 0. Prep - [ ] All MASTER_BOM lines received & IQC (drivers un-dented, toroid VA correct) - [ ] Panels cut per `enclosure/cut-list.csv` - [ ] Stand parts welded & coated - [ ] PCBs stuffed & visually inspected ## 1. Cabinet carcass 1. Dry-fit all panels. 2. Glue sides–top–bottom–baffle; clamp square. 3. Seal internal seams. 4. Install T-nuts, pole cup, braces. 5. Fit damping sheets. 6. Sand and finish exterior (except baffle face if painting separately). ## 2. Amp plate 1. Mount heatsinks + LM3886 (thermal compound/pad). 2. Mount PCBs, regulators, bulk caps, bridge, IEC, switch, XLR, pots. 3. Wire per `electronics/wiring.md`. 4. **Bench test plate alone** with dummy 8 Ω loads (current-limited mains): - DC offset each channel < 50 mV - Mute delay ~1 s - 1 kHz sine mid channel clean on scope ## 3. Drivers 1. Wire drivers with correct polarity (mark +). 2. Install HF then mid with gasket; tighten evenly. 3. Stuff polyfill. ## 4. Final mate 1. Gasket amp plate to cabinet; fasten. 2. Connect driver leads. 3. Fit grille. 4. Affix serial / safety labels. ## 5. System QC Follow [`../qc/factory-test-checklist.md`](../qc/factory-test-checklist.md). ## 6. Stand 1. Assemble pole + base + knob. 2. Load test 25 kg. 3. Mount speaker; confirm vertical; attach safety strap point check. ## 7. Pack Speaker in foam carton; stand in separate carton; include IEC cable, quick-start, warranty card.
