# Safety — church install

## Electrical

- **Always** connect IEC earth. Never defeat ground.  
- Use a **fused** inlet; replace only with same type/rating.  
- Disconnect mains before opening amp plate.  
- Internal ±25 V rails can deliver high current — service by qualified tech only.  

## Mechanical

- Speaker ~15 kg on tall stand = tip risk. Use wide base / ballast / safety strap.  
- Do not exceed stand max height with soft floors.  
- Keep aisles clear of cables (tape or cable covers).  

## Hearing / level

- Sustained levels > 85 dBA can injure hearing. Church operators should monitor with an SPL app/meter.  
- CAMS-1 can exceed safe levels at front rows — educate volunteers.  

## Fire / heat

- Heatsinks get hot — keep 50 mm clearance behind cabinet.  
- Do not cover amp plate with fabric / curtains.  

## Compliance

- Follow local electrical code for portable appliance testing (PAT) where required.  
- VERIFY transformer primary and fuse for local mains (120 V vs 230 V).
