# Single mid — wiring

## Bench / one-driver setup

1. Feed line-level audio into the **midrange** crossover channel only (`active-crossover` mid bandpass).  
2. Mid OUT → LM3886 `AUDIO_IN` (`lm3886-poweramp`).  
3. LM3886 speaker out → midrange driver (8 Ω nominal).  
4. Leave woofer/tweeter crossover outs disconnected or terminated into 10 kΩ if the board is powered.

## In the 3-way tower

- Mid amp → mid driver in **sealed chamber** only.  
- Do not parallel other drivers on the mid amp.  
- Label Speakon/binding posts: `MID+` / `MID−`.

## Safety

- Mute amp before connecting the driver.  
- Check DC offset at amp output (< ~50 mV typical) before connecting the speaker.  
- Never short the LM3886 output.
